![]() Like most Dariacore albums, chapters 0, 1, and 2 felt defined by their samples. What’s best about this album isn’t its impeccable ability to sample Ice Spice within minutes of the Minecraft soundtrack or incredible song titles, though (though “the elon musk soundcloud acquisition” and “DR PEPPER IS THE OLDEST MAJOR SOFT DRINK IN AMERICA” get pretty close to claiming this title) - it’s how original it feels. But it feels like the microgenre has evolved on berdlycore chapter 3, the latest chapter of xaev’s series.Īfter a somber remix of my beloved Deltarune soundtrack’s own “Before the Story,” the album dives headfirst into its best track, which melds everything from Ariana Grande to Porter Robinson with dazzling synths, Jersey club, and the genre’s signature silly sound effects. It’s really, really hard to define, let alone write about, Dariacore. Kyler Edsitty berdlycore chapter 3 - xaev ![]() Unfortunately, this track is not streaming on Spotify or Apple Music, which proves the best music is on SoundCloud. Lines like “Tryna book but the club can’t afford me / Tried to stick around for your set but you bored me” cement Chase as one of my favorite upcoming pop artists who I’m always excited to get new music from. ![]() Time after time, Chase delivers clever and cheeky lyrics that are honestly genius. This track is an ode to the club scene and all the vanity and egotism that comes along with it. Unearthing this early 2000s instrumental for Chase to twist and turn is an amazing pairing that feels so fresh and satisfying, even during this Y2K revival we’re in. In this SoundCloud exclusive, Chase Icon samples “Silver Screen” by Felix Da Housecat while bringing her truly unapologetic lyricism to the forefront. Chasers link up, we’re going to Club Cooter.
